Rash of Broken Vehicle Windows.

Over the past week, several residents of the Sunset Hills neighborhood of Mt. Lebanon have reported damage to their parked vehicles. This damage has consisted of broken vehicle windows caused by thrown rocks, shots from pellet guns, or the windows being struck by a pipe or other solid object. Several victims from surrounding communities have reported similar incidents during the same timeframe. Witnesses describe a possible suspect vehicle as a small black or dark blue car with a partial PA Plate # GXC-79 or GXC -97. This car was being operated by two teenage white males. These incidents have occurred during both the overnight and afternoon hours. Please contact 9-1-1 with any information about these incidents.

Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes Scam.

MLPD and The United States Secret Service are attempting to locate victims who have sent cash to addresses in Canada after being informed over the telephone that they have won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. If you were contacted by someone from the Sweepstakes, and were instructed to send money to a Canadian address, please contact MLPD to file a report.
